In den vergangenen Jahren ist in Deutschland eine lebhafte Diskussion zum bedingungslosen Grundeinkommen entstanden. Sozial- und wirtschaftspolitische Betrachtungen überwiegen. Kaum ist der Vorschlag zur politischen Ordnung nationalstaatlicher Demokratie ins Verhältnis gesetzt worden. Hierbei zeigt sich, dass ein bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen nahtlos an den Voraussetzungen anknüpft, auf denen Demokratien heute schon begründet sind: Autonomie der Bürger, Bürgerrechte und Volkssouveränität.

Le projet d'autonomie individuelle et collective constitue le cœur indissociablement pratique et théorique de toute l'œuvre de Castoriadis. C'est lui qui fait le lien entre rengagement militant au sein de Socialisme ou Barbarie et la réflexion philosophique la plus abstraite, depuis la parution de L'institution imaginaire de la société jusqu'aux séminaire donnés à l'EHESS. C'est aussi le projet d'autonomie qui constitue le carrefour originaire où se rejoignent tous les aspects de l'œuvre encyclopédique de Castoriadis, depuis son étude attentive de la Grèce ancienne - où ce projet a selon lui été créé - jusqu'à sa théorie pratico-poiétique de la psychanalyse - l'analyse constituant un lieu d'entrée privilégié dans l'autonomie individuelle -, en passant par sa critique radicale de l'expansion illimitée du néo-capitalisme, cette institution social- historique faisant courir au projet d'autonomie le risque d'une éclipse complète. La pensée de Castoriadis présente donc un aspect « programmatique » certain, qui nous semble nécessiter de sortir du cadre de l'exégèse stricte de son œuvre. Dans la mesure où le projet d'autonomie a été théorisé par Castoriadis comme étant une tâche interminable, cet ouvrage interroge les différentes manières dont il est aujourd'hui possible de l'inventer : où et comment créer pour redynamiser le germe de l'autonomie ? Quels lieux politiques, sociaux, symboliques investir afin de le relancer ?

The question of whether and under what circumstances assisted suicide is not only in line with the law, but also ethically legitimate beyond the legal dimension, is controversially debated. The debate centers around the fundamental issues of freedom, self-determination, dignity, quality of life and morality. Depending on the interpretation of these values, the stance regarding assisted suicide may vary. The social context is also central: on the one hand, there is concern of an increasing pressure towards shortening fragile life in an ageing society; on the other hand, there is criticism that authorities and gatekeepers unduly restrain individual free will by restricting access.At the core of the book are forty narrative interviews with dialogue partners who have reported on their respective decision-making processes regarding the option of assisted suicide. The values that guide them are discussed, and the analysis of the interview transcripts is embedded in a larger theoretical framework. This results in a differentiated picture in which convergences, but also divergences in values and arguments, emerge. Through interviews embedded in a wider conceptual analysis, this book intends to encourage a debate on the topic as free of ideology as possible, as well as offer tools to guide the decision-making process.
